It’s always nice to photograph something different and unique, so it was pleasure to get the chance to head to Gladstone Pottery Museum in Stoke on Trent. The museum’s a great place to step back in time and learn about Stoke on Trent taking the lead in the world of Pottery back in the 18th and 19th Centuries.
The museum is now part of the European Route of Industrial Heritage and has about 10% of the remaining bottle kilns in the whole of Stoke on Trent (there were once about 4,000!). If you get the chance it’s definitely worth a day out – visit their webpage here.
I’m aiming to build up a catalogue of urban and industrial images so if you have an interesting building, please get in touch. Alternatively, if you wish to have any prints of Gladstone Pottery for your office walls or home, please just contact me for prices.
